The Builders Exchange Foundation | www.bx.org
The Builders Exchange Foundation was created in 1999 by members of the Builders Exchange of Central Ohio, to strengthen the area’s construction workforce of the future. Since 1959, the Exchange Scholarship Program has given financial aid to deserving students in construction- related fields of study -- including architecture, engineering, construction management and HVAC design. Both full-time and part-time students from four-year colleges and two-year technical schools are eligible to apply for a scholarship. High school seniors are also eligible for the scholarship but must show a relationship to the construction industry in central Ohio.
Funded solely through BX member contributions, the program has provided more than $600,000 to deserving students. In 2004 alone, a total of $43,500 was awarded to 34 students. |
