Hamilton Parker ® Company understands that Green Building practices
promote construction of buildings that are healthier for the occupants and healthier
for the environment.

Hamilton Parker ® Company understands a greener workplace can mean a
lighter ecological footprint, as well as a healthier and more productive place to work.
We have initiated an effort within our company to “Green” our office space.
Currently we are:

• Recycling office paper with over 13 tons of paper saved from the landfill since 2005
• In 2010, we have expanded our paper recycling to newspaper, magazines, blueprints and more.
• Purchasing paper with recycled content
• Recycling cardboard in the office and the warehouse, reusing boxes for outbound shipping
• Implementing recycling dumpster for recycling of Steel, reducing our waste to the city dump and reusing valuable metals
• Driving 4 Hybrid vehicles in our Company vehicle Fleet, with the goal of adding more
• Recycling aluminum, glass and plastic In-house
• Encouraging the use of mugs for employee coffee use instead of Styrofoam cups
• Recycling Laser Printer Cartridges, with donations going to local non-profits
• Partners in the Adopt a Highway Program for the I-670 Corridor
• In 2008, installed hand dryers in all 5 bathrooms, reducing paper towel use.
• In 2009, installed motion sensor lights in our bathrooms and warehouse, reducing our electricity consumption
• Deverting coffee grounds from the landfill and having them collected by a local worm composting company

.
