1934 - The Alvin and Gertrude Lewin purchases
Hamilton Parker Fuel and Supply for $500
1950s and 1960s - A shift in the coal market requires the company to
change its business strategy.

Company begins a pattern of horizontal growth and diversification, implementing brick
and masonry materials as a new product offering
1960s - Milton Lewin, son of Alvin and Gertrude, enters into the business.
He later becomes the 2nd generation of Lewin Family ownership in the 1980s
1970s - The company continues to diversify, entering the prefabricated fireplace industry as an alternative to the
masonry fireplace industry
1982 - In addition to brick and fireplaces, Hamilton Parker Company enters the ceramic tile business
1993 - Expansion continues as the company adds residential garage doors to fireplace its list of services
1997 - Hamilton Parker Company purchases Homeowner Supply Mart in Delaware, Ohio. The satellite location introduces its product lines in new markets: Northern Columbus, Delaware, and counties north of Delaware
2000 - In line with the city of Columbus as it expands, Hamilton Parker Company relocates to a new building at I-670 and Leonard Avenue. A state-of-the-art facility showcases all of its offerings under one roof
2003 - The magazine House Beautiful recognizes the company as one of the top 125 showrooms that “designers wanted to shop” in the United States
2005 - Adam Lewin, son of Milton Lewin, purchases the company after working with Milton for more than 10 years and serving as company president for
five years
2009 - Hamilton Parker Company celebrates 75 years in business in Central Ohio
